SweeT Pea Team of teachers

Ashley, is a Mother of 2, with her Bachelor’s of Science in Art Education, She holds over 2 decades of direct childcare and educational experience, within a variety of learning environments.  She is a Montessori certified preschool teacher and also previously worked as a professionally trained postpartum doula. She appreciates and values all positions within the childcare field and holds high standards for this professional work. Ashley loves to share her passions of creativity and the arts with our youth. She cares deeply about the importance of outdoor play and exploration of nature and she is committed to providing a high quality and sensory rich learning environments at Sweet Pea Childcare.

Shannon, has spent the last 12 years working in various early childcare programs after receiving her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. During covid and staying home with her daughter, she was able to get a Bachelors in Psychology with a concentration on early childhood and adolescence. When her daughter was 3, she started working at Sweet Pea as a Lead Teacher. After 2 years I was able to step into the role of Assistant Director am also pursuing my Masters Degree in Social Work.

Alexis Heney has been with us for 2 years in our infant room. She is passionate about ECE and nature based education. She is currently enrolled at Great Bay Community College, working towards her degree in early childhood education. We're looking forward to having her learn and grow with us at Sweet Pea Childcare.

Gina Casio has been with us 4 years now helping with all ages in the program and sharing her natural nurturing personality and love of the young child. We have been grateful for all her time so far. She also has years of previous childcare experience and aligns with our mission and values for quality care at Sweet Pea. As a mother of 3, we are lucky to have her sharing her natural nurturing ways with us.

Kaela Perry has been with us for over 3 years. She brings us several years of previous childcare center experience as well, and we are so glad she's part of our team of exceptional caregivers. She's working towards her ECE Degree as well and her love for our toddler friends shows everyday in her thoughtful and calm ways in the classroom.

Alyssa Coulombe brings us 5+ years of childcare experience and we are grateful to have her as a part of our program and team of exceptional caregivers. 

Her natural ability to care for the quality growth and development of our little ones shows everyday at Sweet Pea. We are looking forward to having her grow with our program as well.

Olivia Watson joins us with several years of previous childcare experience in licensed facilities, including a Montessori program. She's been a Lead Teacher with us for over a year now. She's also currently in school and working towards her ECE Degree and her love of the young child and quality care shows in her daily adventures with us at Sweet Pea! We are grateful to have her with us.

Darcy Christian has been with Sweet Pea for 4 years. She studied child development and was first exposed to the methods of Montessori Education in college.  Darcy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and continued on with running the Sterling School of Dance for children- through the Beverly, MA, YMCA.

Darcy also worked at an Eliot based childcare until she had her lovely daughter, Calista, who often join us at sweet pea after school. Darcy recently completed 2 Montessori teacher training courses through the Age of Montessori program.

Rain Smith is training to become a volunteer for the center for grieving children and has previously 

volunteered as a camp counselor working with multiple different ages. She's also worked as a college TA and a mentor for new and first generation students. We are so happy to have her as a part of our team of exceptional caregivers and to help her learn and grow in this field as an early childhood educator.

Charlie Ryan, has  experience with all ages, and brings to us her previous experience of working in a licensed childcare program as a full-time teacher. We appreciate her passion and enthusiasm for early childhood education and her ability to communicate/understand the young child has been a wonderful addition to our programs' team of teachers! 

We're also looking forward to having her learn and grow with us in her career as an early childhood educator.
