Sweet Pea LEarning Groups

Our infant program provides a secure, comfortable learning environment for ages 3 months to 18 months old. With various stages of growth and development in this age range, our caregivers embrace a calm but engaging play space, with age appropriate nature inspired materials. There is also an outdoor area for infants and when the weather is safe we'll be outside!

Our Sprouts group offers a mindfully prepared learning space, to invite exploration of the indoor/outdoor world, with the guidance and support of their caregivers. They will practice care of their environment, care of the natural world and care of self. Daily outdoor adventure in all types of weather, arts and movement, imaginative play, music and circle time, allow this age to settle into a cozy, predictable routine.

Our Blossoms I group continues on the idea of nature inspired child-lead learning. Their caregivers foster an appreciation for the physical environment that surrounds them everyday. They gain independence with more practical life lessons, more outdoor exploration and play, daily art, music and seasonal gardening. *Toilet training and guidance is a big part of our Blossom I room. They will also be participating in more social play activities to begin their journey toward becoming a member of their community. 

In our 3.5 -5 year old group, we embrace each child's unique growing natural desires to learn. We encourage their freedom of play and feed their curiosity of nature, so that they are challenged but following their own lead for growth and development. Staying in tune with the needs of the child, we help plant roots for the foundation of our sweet peas' future experiences in education. Enjoyable daily routines, projects in the woods, seasonal gardening, practice with writing and reading, art and music through group learning activities, target this group's need to be social and to develop cooperative relationship skills. We will be outside everyday in all types of weather as long as it's safe. 

*Children must be toilet trained and 3+ years of age to join Blossoms II.
