Sweet pea Teachers

Alexis Heney is passionate about ECE and nature based education. She is currently enrolled at Great Bay Community College, working towards her degree in early childhood education. We're looking forward to having her learn and grow with us at Sweet Pea Childcare.

Payton Stapley has several years of early childhood education within various licensed centers. She previously worked at Sweet Pea for over a year as our infant teacher and after taking maternity leave to be at home with her son, she has returned to join us again as one of our toddler Sprouts teachers. We are so glad she's part of our team of caregivers again.

Olivia Watson joins us with several years of previous childcare experience in licensed facilities, including a Montessori program. She's currently in school and working towards her ECE Degree and her love of the young child and quality care shows in her daily adventures with us at Sweet Pea! We are grateful to have her with us.

Darcy Christian has been with Sweet Pea for 3 years. She studied child development and was first exposed to the methods of Montessori Education in college.  Darcy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and continued on with running the Sterling School of Dance for children- through the Beverly, MA, YMCA.

Darcy also worked at an Eliot based childcare until she had her lovely daughter, Calista, who often join us at sweet pea after school. Darcy recently completed 2 Montessori teacher training courses through the Age of Montessori program.

Rain Smith is training to become a volunteer for the center for grieving children and has previously 

volunteered as a camp counselor working with multiple different ages. She's also worked as a college TA and a mentor for new and first generation students. We are so happy to have her as a part of our team of exceptional caregivers and to help her learn and grow in this field as an early childhood educator.

Charlie Ryan, has  experience with all ages, and brings to us her previous experience of working in a licensed childcare program as a full-time teacher. We appreciate her passion and enthusiasm for early childhood education and her ability to communicate/understand the young child has been a wonderful addition to our programs' team of teachers! 

We're also looking forward to having her learn and grow with us in her career as an early childhood educator.

Gina Casio has been with us 3 years now helping with all ages in the program and sharing her natural nurturing personality and love of the young child. We have been grateful for all her time so far. She also has years of previous childcare experience and aligns with our mission and values for quality care at Sweet Pea.
